Topic 1: Family

Tematické okruhy sú pre obe úrovne rovnaké. Žiak bude hodnotený podľa centrálne vypracovaných kritérií. Základom hodnotenia bude rozsah slovnej zásoby, používanie gramatických štruktúr, stupeň jazykovej pohotovosti, obsahová stránka prejavu a pod.

Úlohou žiaka je zaujať stanovisko k téme a odôvodniť ho v rozhovore. Hodnotí sa vyjadrenie
stanoviska, vecná argumentácia, výber faktov a informácií, gramatika.

1. Rodina
a) životopis (osobné údaje: meno, bydlisko, dátum a miesto narodenia, rodinný stav, významné
momenty v živote),
b) členovia rodiny (zovňajšok, charakter, záľuby),
c) rodinné vzťahy (vzťahy medzi súrodencami, rodičmi a deťmi, starí rodičia, pomoc v rodine,
domáce práce, všedné dni a rodinné oslavy),

TEMPO 1: Final Revision (Speaking)

1. Say hello to a friend / to an adult. Introduce yourself. / Introduce your friend to your teacher. Say good bye. What do you say if you are late for class? What do you say if you don’t understand a new word? What do you do and say, if you want to say something? What do you do if you want to go to the toilet?

2. Ask your friend/teacher questions (country and nationality). Answer the questions about yourself. Where are you from? What’s your nationality? Where is ... (your favourite singer/pop band...) from?

3. What have you got... (in your schoolbag, in your pencil case, on your desk, in your school)? Ask and answer the questions. What colour is it? How many have you got?

4. This is my classroom. This is my room. “There is/are/isn’t/aren’t + some / any)”. Ask and answer the questions. Describe your classroom and your room at home.

5. When’s your (your mother’s, your friend’s...) birthday? Time, dates, days, months, seasons of the year. Ask and answer questions. Talk about yourself, your friend and family ( + pets, if you have one).

6. Ask and answer questions about time. What’s the time? What time is the big break? What time do you go to school? etc. Talk about the subjects at school. Which subject do you like? Why? Which day have you got it?

7. Prepare your birthday party. It can’t be boring. What can you do? Present your ideas. (Example: we can go for a pizza, to the cinema, to a football match, try quad bikes, listen to music, tap dance, do the homework :) etc)

8. What do you do in your free time? Talk about your free time and hobbies. Talk about sports. Talk about your friend’s hobbies. What do you like? What don’t you like? What does he/she like? Talk about your holidays. What can you do at an activity centre? Which indoor/outdoor activities can you do in your school/town?

9. Daily activities. Sports, after-school activities, bedtime. Talk about your typical day. Ask and answer questions about your / your friend’s day. What do you do every day? What do you do at the weekends? What do you usually do after school? What time do you ... ? How often do you...? (Always, usually, often, sometimes, never.) Do you ever... (forget you homework)? Yes, I do / Yes, sometimes / No, never. Are you ever in trouble at school / home? Why? - Because... What time do you usually go to bed on school nights? What time do you usually go to bed during the holidays?

10. What can you do? Can you...? Can she/he...? Ask and answer questions. (sing, dance, tap dance, ride a horse, skate, swim, drive, speak French)

11. Ask and answer questions about animals (p. 88-89 in your book) What can an animal do? Which bird can swim but can’t fly? How fast can a cheetah run? How far can a kangaroo jump? Why do chameleons change colour? What can a parrot learn?

12. Places in Ružomberok. Where is...? (in, in front of, on, behind, near, in the middle of, next to, opposite, between A and B). Describe 5 places in your town. Ask questions (Example: What is opposite the Liptov museum? Where can you buy stamps and send letters? Where can you get money? It is in Podhora Street. It is next to the book shop etc. What is it? - I know! It’s the library! )

13. Imagine that you are an English teacher. Give 10 instructions to class. (Example: Look at the blackboard! Don’t interrupt? Pay attention! etc)

14. What do you usually wear? What do you never wear? Which colour do you like? What are you wearing now? What is your friend wearing now? Talk. Ask questions in “Who am I thinking of?”-game. Is is a girl/ a boy? Is he/she wearing ... ?)

15. Describe yourself and your friend. What’s your name? How old are you? How tall are you? What’s your hair colour? What’s your hair length? Have you got straight, wavy or curly hair? How tall are you? What is your eye colour? Ask questions in “Who am I thinking of?”-game. Is is a girl/ a boy? Has she/he got...? Is she/he sitting opposite / next to...? Is he/she wearing...? Is it...?)

16. What do you have for breakfast? What do you have for a snack? What do you have for lunch? What do you usually eat in the evening?
